Agent API Token

When an admin enables the Require Agent API Token setting, each agent uses their own Freshdesk API token rather than a shared admin token. This ensures all actions are performed under the agent’s own identity.

First-Time Setup

On first open after the setting is enabled, agents see a one-time setup screen:

1. Find your personal API token under Freshdesk Profile Settings → API Key.
2. Enter the token and create a password to protect it.
3. Click Submit. The board loads using your personal credentials.

Entering Your Password

After the initial setup, you’ll be prompted for your password each time you open the app in a new browser or session.

Forgot Password

If you forget your password, click Forgot password on the prompt screen. You’ll be taken back to the token entry flow where you can enter your API token again and set a new password. Your previous password is invalidated.

Rotated API Token

If you regenerate your Freshdesk API token, the app detects the authentication failure on the next API call and prompts you to re-enter your new token. Enter the fresh token, keep or update your password, and the board resumes normal operation.

Press ? anywhere in the app to open the keyboard shortcuts reference. Every shortcut listed in the panel is active and ready to use.
